IT Services and System Integrators

All system integrators say the same things, and the client sees no difference

An IT manager receives proposals from system integrators, vendor partners and consultants every week. They use the same words: digital transformation, cloud, security. Your team may well be better than the others, but in a cold email it does not show.

The starting point

The challenges we meet most often

  • Challenges 1

Offer that looks the same as everyone's

Microsoft certifications, vendor partnerships, managed services. Everyone has them, so they don’t distinguish anyone.

  • Challenges 2

    One-off projects, little recurring

A project ends and the client disappears until the next one. Without new clients, revenue rises and falls with the projects.

  • Challenges 3

    Pipeline that depends on vendors

Many leads come from the distributor or the vendor, who also give them to other partners. You have no control over those.

The method in the industry

How we work in this industry

We choose with you one or two specialisations where you are genuinely strongest, because a message about everything reaches no one. We segment by management software in use, industry and size, and we look for signals such as a change of IT manager, an announced migration or an incident. We write to the IT manager and, in parallel, to the CFO or management, with a concrete case from a client similar to theirs. The sequences alternate email and LinkedIn, and every reply is qualified before it reaches your salesperson.

Who we talk to

  • CIO or head of IT

They have little staff and too many projects. They are interested in whoever takes work off their desk without creating more.

  • CFO

In medium-sized companies IT often reports to them. They look at recurring costs, licences and the risk of downtime.

  • Operations Director

When the project touches the management system, production or the warehouse, they are the one who measures whether the new system works.

  • Chief executive officer

In companies of up to a few hundred employees they approve the biggest projects and want to understand what changes for the company.

The objection we hear most often

«IT managers are bombarded with proposals, they no longer answer anyone.»

They do not reply to generic proposals, and rightly so. They reply to a message that names their management system, their type of infrastructure or a problem colleagues in the same industry have had. With We Tech, which provides IT services, we went from 20 meetings in twelve months to 71 in six.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about the industry

All questions
  • How does a system integrator find clients without depending on the vendor’s leads?

By building a channel of your own: a verified list of companies in your target, and direct contact with whoever decides on IT. The vendor’s leads remain useful, but the ones you look for yourself aren’t shared with other partners.

  • Does lead generation work for managed IT services?

Yes, especially towards companies with between fifty and five hundred employees and a small in-house IT. They are the ones with the most obvious problem: a lot to manage and few people. The message works if it talks about workload and continuity, not technology.

  • Is LinkedIn or email better for contacting IT managers?

Both on the same contact. Many IT managers read LinkedIn carefully and filter email with strict rules. A sequence that alternates the two channels, with different messages, reaches more people than a single channel.
